The small and lovely city of Courmayeur, one of Europe's premiere skiing and alpinist destinations, is located in a spectacular setting at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc. This region, the Valle d'Aosta of Italy, is noted for its breath-taking scenery, its castles, churches and rich history dating back to the Roman Empire. Courmayeur is 137 miles/220 km from Milano, easily accessible by bus, train or car. The Zephyr International Chamber Music Course and Festival features a daily regimen of coaching, rehearsals and master classes for strings and piano, and will present eight concerts throughout the region during the twenty-day session. Students, faculty and non-participants will be housed in a 3-star hotel where two meals will be served daily, and in addition to the intense musical activities there will be time for recreation, social events and excursions (included in the tuition fee) to Mont Blanc, Gran San Bernardo, Aosta, Cogne, and the Italian Riviera (Liguria). There will be three levels of classes: I, Young Students; II, High School; and III, Advanced, College and Older. Auditions are required (no exceptions). A maximum of only 35 of the highest quality students will be accepted for the festival. Repertoire will be assigned and prepared in advance of the actual session. All students will participate in the ensembles and performances.

Ai piedi del Monte Bianco, sullo sfondo di un incredibile scenario, è situata la piccola e deliziosa città di Courmayeur, meta tra le più ambite d'Europa per le sue famose stazioni sciistiche e per gli appassionati dell'alta montagna. La Valle d'Aosta è riconosciuta come una tra le più affascinanti regioni d'Italia per l'incredibile bellezza del paesaggio, per i suoi castelli, chiese e resti archeologici risalenti a prima dell'Impero Romano. Courmayeur si trova a 220 km da Milano, facilmente raggiungibile attraverso pullman di linea, treno e macchina. Lo Zephyr, Festival Internazionale di Musica da Camera, presenta un programma giornaliero di prove e master classes, con il supporto d'insegnanti d'alto livello, per strumenti a corda e pianoforte. Durante i venti giorni di seminario saranno presentati otto concerti in diverse località della regione Valle d'Aosta. Gli studenti, il corpo docente e gli auditori saranno ospitati in un caratteristico hotel a tre stelle dove saranno serviti due pasti al giorno; oltre alle intense attività musicali ci saranno momenti ricreativi ed escursioni sia all'interno della regione Valle d'Aosta sia verso la Riviera Ligure; il tutto incluso nel prezzo del viaggio. Le classi saranno divise in tre livelli: I giovanissimi, II scuole superiori e III Livello universitario e oltre. Gli studenti saranno ammessi, senza alcuna eccezione di sorta, solo dopo un'audizione. Saranno selezionati per il Festival, un massimo di 35 studenti tra i più motivati e preparati. Il repertorio sarà istituito prima dell'inizio dei corsi e tutti gli studenti parteciperanno agli spettacoli.
