A Small But Happy Reunion in San Francisco

In late September and early October, 2004, a few of our wandering stars crossed paths, and we were able to have a Zephyr mini-reunion in San Francisco. The Assessore di Turismo of Courmayeur, Ephrem Truchet and his wife Elena flew here to take part in the city's Celebrazione Italiana; the Zephyr faculty came together (Martin flew in from Germany, and Felicia and Jose from Oklahoma!! while Ben, Meikui and I are already here) to present a well-received benefit concert at Herbst Theatre; and Diana Golden, Caitlin McSherry and KyuYoun Sim (2004) and Erica Wong and Akimi Fukuhara (2003) played two lovely outdoor concerts at Yerba Buena Gardens. A drawing took place at the Herbst Theatre Concert and the winning ticket holder received a week's trip, including airfare and hotel, to Courmayeur during Zephyr 2005. Many old friends and alumnae from both 2003 and 2004 were there, but we were sad that all of our alums couldn't be there, and we want you to know that we missed you very much! ÐMack McCray
